"Since this dance began, that's where I am."

Loose Update. If I'm honest wifmyself I'll relay intel. revealing that keeping up with the Joneses is something I'm having a hard time doing. So much so that I don't much identify with them -- Metaphorically, nowamean? But I must tell you that it feels rather good slipping into a pair of 31" jeans. Well, sorta fitting them. This is even more miraculous considering I've got rather womanly hips. My pelvic bone now protrudes outwardly. Awkward as this is, I do enjoy touching them. Is that weird? Rather. Anyway, godbless the 40 minutes of Cardio a day I do. The six meals -- the six tiny meals/per day I ingest that comprise mostly of protein and twice the daily requirement of fibre that is recommended -- the 7-9 litres of filtered water which passes through me, daily. So, cheers to frequent bowel movements! And may Allah/Buddha collectively bless the moments I'm feeling a bit snarky and go for the 10cm x 10cm square of Aged White Cheddar. Call it a mini foodgasm of sorts, really. I am still very far from having Brad Pitt's abs from the days of Snatch, but fuck me I'm making a go of it. We'll revisit this come November/December. Well, with a bit of luck/dedication I guess. There's a quote I read somewhere, I think it was Men's Health Magazine and I think the person saying it was Will Smith (not sure), it read; "You may be better looking than me and have me up on 9 other points. You get me on a treadmill and two things are gonna happen. I'm gonna outlast you or I'm gonna [fucking] die.". I'm paraphrasing and I threw in the fucking to sound more dramatic but yeah, it's like that these days.

Winston Churchill once said If you are going through hell, keep going. Had he never existed to steal my thunder and had I been El Presidente of my own Republic[a], I'd have brilliantly quoted myself in saying If you're going through hell, shop!. In the midst of being rather stressed out, I fancied a bit of a shop at the Yorkdale mall. For my fellow Torontonians, you'll be pleased to know the mall now has a Hugo Boss (I just had a tiny orgasm) and American Apparel. But this American Apparel has apparently hired the non-asshole contingent of the Hipster n00bs. So, win. I must say, shopping is something I'm rather good at. Nobody can refute this. This must have been the best outing I've ever had. Everything I set out to get, I got. Complemented by the euphoric high brought about by Starbucks and Oasis (iPod). The night was then concluded by the hot cashier lady kinda sorta hitting on me at one of the stores illustrated above. This would not be particularly note-worthy otherwise, but this is so because she was a Pakistani from England complete with English (thinkin' Brighton?) accent and looked like a shorter/less visibly artsy/more business casual-yet-SASy version of Natasha Khan. *High Five* Or maybe it's racist to think any Pakistani with an English accent looks like Natasha Khan *shrugs shoulders*. I should also tell you that the Club Monaco at Yorkdale has some amazing new gear. Their scarves... ohhohohohoh their scarves.

O_o And yeah I bought I fedora, you wanna go me betch?

I'm currently studying for my Network+ Certification. It's proving to be a lot harder than I had anticipated. I have my A+ cert. that I took a few years ago but this is the crown-jewel of the Comptia certifications. I don't know why I'm doing this. Initially I felt like it would be sort of like bragging rights for geekdom. I just wanted to do this to become more technically well-rounded or however that goes. But I see so many jackoffs working in IT as Network Admin. who don't know how to properly swap NICs, implement networks and administer user rights that it just makes me so mad because they're all making mad coin. Once I get this (along with some of my work experience and other qualifications), I could, technically, join that field but I'm on the fence with that one. I'm just burned out having to memorize this fucking 801.XX standards, converting IPs to fucking binary and understanding every incarnation of 10BaseXX. Oh Winston Churchill, where the fuck you at?? Half this stuff is stuff I already know or are expanding upon. The other half is making me lose my marbles a 'lil. I'm scheduling myself to take the exam at the end of this month. I require 80% to pass. Lots of people fail the first time. I'm already nervous, the exam isn't cheap. I've not taken any class to learn this, like the other knobheads who pay in excess of over 1k. Just a book, my DOS shell and the Internet. Then a month later I'm taking my Secure+ which is a lot easier, I believe. Yup. There you go.

It is now less than half a year until the last season of Lost. Get on down with your badass self.

I've admired this song & video for over a year. Bit Chav'y but now you have the chance to heart it too. It makes me want to go biking along the rural bits of France. Although the geographic topology revealed in this video is that of Monaco.

Interesting fact about Monaco via Wikipedia: Monaco is the world's most densely populated sovereign country, and the world's smallest French-speaking country. An average person takes only 56 minutes to walk across the width of the country. Monaco is the name of the country as well as the name of its capital city. It is often regarded as a tax haven, and many of its inhabitants are wealthy and from foreign countries, making up a majority of the population, at around 84%.

Goodnight.

Soon enough though, the fall is upon us all.
Yay we be.

Thank you.
It goes well with the polos and scarves I got.
I'm pretty tired of seeing American Apparel hipster dicks traipsing around looking all ironic and generic as if they've got poker up their asses (I do shop there, too which is funny).. This would be my response to THAT.
I think fedoras are pretty much on their way out but I put it on and basically had to have it.

a fedora is a good autumn choice!

i like american apparel too, but i don't like going into the store bc of the tramps in gold lamé leotards and legwarmers and brand new coke habits who think they're better than me, meanwhile they're working retail.

Thank god I'm not the only who feels this way.
You're absolutely right. Fortunately the new American Apparel in Yorkdale mall has really nice hipster dickjobs working. They're like really really nice. In such a way that I feel guilty for having called them dickjobs
The other one near Bloor Station has these absolutely HORRIBLE people working. I fucking HATE going in there.
I just love their v-necks and boxerbriefs.

Have you noticed a trend with the American Apparel fanatics? How they now dress ugly on purpose? The men look like Dan Fucking Deacon

Ah fuck, I just opened a pandora's box of hate after googling that image :/

I HATE DAN DEACON SO MUCH UGHHHHHHHHHH

Damn, 31 is tiny for a tall guy. I've been good with the cardio too these days, but usually just 4-6 days/week. Are you doing ab stuff? I need to get on that as well...if you've got ideas, share!

(Reply to this) (Thread)

[info]emperor3d

Yeah I do abs twice a week. If you do more it's a waste of time. In my extensive research it's basically like this; You need to do cardio 30-40 minutes a day, every day. Eat 5-6 small meals based mostly on protein and fibre, drink an ocean of water daily, workout with weights 3 times a week. For men we need to do more weights because we burn fat better whilst doing that. Uhm, I have a PDF document that I swear by and it explains all this in every detail possible. If you want it I can send it to you. I can't right now because I'm visiting the parents in Windsor but when I get back to Toronto I can throw it your way if you're interested. It's a very worthwhile read.

Yeah, email the pdf when back in Toronto. I'm wondering if there is any truth to the whole fruit shaped female body thing and if I, as an apple lady, should be following a workout regimen according to that. I really should do cardio daily, but sometimes I just can't make it to the gym everyday. I loves me loads of water on the daily, and my multiple tiny meals. Isn't that about increasing metabolism?

(Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

[info]emperor3d
2009-08-16 02:43 am UTC (link)
Yeah exactly right, it increases your metabolism propaaaaah.
It goes into in indepth explanations about the various body types we, men and women, have as well as our various models of metabolsim we have. It's super scientific in explanations at the same time as explaining in simple terms you can utilize to your benefit.
It's hard as fuck though. You have to give up all your simple luxuries. Very few carbs, no booze of any sort and cardio EVERY DAY. The only happiness you'll find it the once-a-week cheat meal. Which is like my messiah, really. lol
It's also a beneficial read because it talks extensively about goal-setting and the logic behind it and how to be very effective at it.
JAH, I send soon. You loves.

uuuuhm, I live in ENGLAND, how is it that I'm supposed to give up drinking? (Though I have cut back, significantly). What kind of carbs are you going for? I've been really good about just going for whole grains these days. I get a fair amount of protein, but it's not easy to consume copious amounts as a veggie, and definitely not in this country, where vegetarianism/veganism has not caught on in the same way as it has in say California.

If I have bread it's anything comprising of whole wheat and whole grains. I don't each much bread now. It's fine. I've even cut sugar from my tea, which is fucking mental, really. But I feel tons better. If you can't get vegs regularly, then go for fruit!
The drinking thing you're on your own there. I don't even know how you Londoners are able to afford to drink.

That's AWESOME that you started the p90x. I was on that for a week and returned to Tae Bo Cardio. It's just a matter of preference for me. I just feel a bit more on my toes when Billy Blanks is bearing down on my white self, yelling and everything. He's all angry n'shit. Love it. Look at him! Plus I get I get more cardio in Tae Bo.

holeee he looks like he can be kinda nuts. the dude in p90x is just a bit too peppy and cheesy for my taste. after a week i decided i wasn't getting enough cardio in the classic program, so i switched to the lean program for more cardio but i dunno, i still don't think it's cutting it even though it's hardest thing ever, but i feel accomplished afterwards i guess so that's a good thing! i might try this tae bo program out!

LOL the p90 is too cheesy. Everytime he tries to have a crack I just feel embarrassed for him. Thus, he is a knob. I'll send you the link to the cardio Tae Bo too. It's SUPER SUPER SUPER hard the first few times you do it. But it's super good.

I've been contemplating joining my friend Leah in attending these spin classes. Apparently they're totally hardcore. But I don't do 'getting all hot and sweaty and gross-like' in front of others. lol

Well the guy who wrote the program basically says "if you drink booze and are serious about this program, you're dead to me" <- like, literal quote. I don't want to piss off mister AB man, for fear of his tyranny, LOL but yeah. If you do drink, and if I go by the logic he writes about, you need to punish yourself more when you workout/cardio. So if you drink, cut it down to ONE night per week and watch yourself. Plus Marissa up above posted a link for alcohol to FOOD conversion, I forget where it is. If I find it i'll send it.
It's brutal :(

Yeah totally CM <3 here. If you go to Club Monaco, go to the one in Yorkdale Mall. It is superior to every other one in T.O. Every time I go there I feel like I'm entering a utopia of sorts. HAPPY FEELINGS. YAY.

Face it: You should just move to NYC like the thousands of other Canadians here! I work with two. Anyway, have you ever been to the Ralph Lauren collection store on Madison Ave? It's INSANE. The women's stuff is absolutely not my personal taste but the store itself is divine (it was a mansion at one point and each floor is decorated slightly different, but in the same "world" that he's known for.) and his men's selection there is fabulous. Especially the Black Label suits. I really like his menswear, actually.

I'm wearing sunglasses in my picture -- it's just a shot from the shoulders up, and I'm on the beach in a pink/blue swimsuit. So ... maybe not me?

What's your full name so I can search you?
